Coaching Approaches & Methods

My clients tend to focus on purpose and confidence, moving away from depression about the past and through anxiety about the future. They find the power and insight to problem-solve challenges. They improve their existence with deep meaning. My clients build self-awareness and get their energy and strength back.

While my clients range all types, they tend to be men ages 16 to 39 who are struggling to move forward, whether they've peaked in their job and relationship or they've hit roadblocks that have taken them out at the knees. This includes those getting divorced, sued, fired, excommunicated, and blacklisted. It also includes building companies, careers, relationships, families, and better lives.

About

People have always trusted me to analyze problems and advise solutions. I had a difficult childhood, with food instability and religious punishments; by age 10, I had a limp and separated rib from religious punishment. I couldn’t rely on anyone, so I had to rely on my own intellect to strategize ways to keep me safe. Other people came to rely on my insight too. I graduated with honors and attended college on scholarship. I served as a juvenile treatment counselor, a health coach, and a sex-ed teacher. Then I changed careers to compose music in Hollywood and worked on award-winning projects. Great, right? Privately, I suffered. I chose my relationships poorly and felt like an imposter with too few resources to meet the demands of others. So I started over.

I received an MS in Organizational Psychology (with honors) and will soon have an MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine (also with honors). I provide psychotherapy to veterans two days a week as an MFTT. I understand career transition, business challenges, relationship conflict, legal problems, spiritual confusion, and social anxiety. Much of my work focuses on overcoming obstacles in leadership, performance, culture, beliefs, and relationships. Whatever you’re facing, we can face it together.
